About the Artist Emma Stenhouse is a proud Ngarrindjeri woman, with strong ties to the Gunditjmara people of Warrnambool. She would like to pay respect to the traditional owners of the land where this work of art was created, the Peek Whuurrong people of the Marr Nation, and to pay respect to their elders, past, present and emerging. Emma recognizes them and respects their cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land, which is important to all members of the Marr Nation living today.
